Layout

Location and position
Weligama has a growing reputation amongst visitors to the South coast. The beautiful and wide open bay provides prime surfing conditions, particularly for beginners and intermediate surfers. Surf in the bay is consistent right throughout the year, and the ocean always swimmable (not the for several Southern beaches), and so appealing for guests 365 days a year.
The town itself is increasingly well served with restaurants and bars - the likes of Rise, Locale, and sushi restaurant Kaiyo all bolstering the foodie scene on this strip of coastline.
The house itself sits on one of the most popular stretches of beach on the bay. Mature vegetation at the front of the garden, however, shields it from the beach and gives a good sense of privacy.
Access to the Southern Expressway is around 15 minutes from the house meaning central Colombo is little over two hours’ drive and the main international airport not much more. The traditional hub of Galle is around 30 minutes drive west along the coast.
Commercial opportunity
The owners, while spending a good amount of time at the property themselves, have successfully rented it, maintaining good occupancy even through Covid-linked disruption.
