Mawella Beach is becoming one of the most prized on Sri Lanka's Southern Coast. The likes of The Last House and Taru Villas have always attracted a well-heeled bunch and (quite) new additions such as The Halcyon Mawella have continued that trend, bringing ever more interest from would-be buyers.
Access is now much easier with the extended Southern Expressway and land prices have climbed as a result.
The bay gives a wide sweep of golden sand, a gentle dip meaning swimming is generally easy throughout the year.
